Call for Posters: Workshop on the Development of Political Thought, Oct. 4-5
University of Padova (Italy) will host a Workshop on the Development of Political Thought on October 4-5, 2019. A list of confirmed speakers can be found below. The organizers are inviting poster submissions on the topic of the workshop. The posters can cover any topic relevant to the development of political thought from any relevant disciplinary perspective (e.g., psychology, education, political science, sociology, anthropology).
Relevant topics include (but are by no means limited to) the development of political ideologies (e.g., authoritarianism, social dominance), children’s explanations for social inequality, the development of attitudes toward political leadership and the links between these attitudes and children’s own political aspirations, children’s understanding of elections and electoral systems, the socialization of political attitudes, and the link between moral cognition and political attitudes across development.
FORMAT & REQUIREMENTS:
The application consists of a 500-word abstract describing the research question, the methods, the findings, and the relevance of the research to the topic of the workshop (that is, the development of political thought). Only empirical work will be accepted, and preference will be given to research that has been completed but has not already been published.
June 21, 2019
Decisions will be emailed by July 12, 2019.
There is no registration fee for this workshop, and some meals will be provided. However, there are no funds available to support travel or lodging for accepted poster presenters.
