Eastern ARC – Quantitative Social Science Fellowship (REF: ATR1187)

UEA are seeking a Post Doctoral Fellow with demonstrated research potential, who wishes to develop an academic career. The Fellow will act as the focus and catalyst for interdisciplinary research in Quantitative Social Science within UEA and will facilitate interaction with the other Eastern ARC partners. The University is not being prescriptive as to the focus of research; instead, the applicant will be asked to submit a research proposal that fits within one of three broad areas, with a plan to develop research collaboration across the three universities and a plan for future funding which will contribute to the longer term success/sustainability of the Eastern ARC. The areas are: Inequality, Conflict, and Migration; Lifespan, Lifestyle, and Decision-making; and Environment, Energy, and Security.
This post is available from 1 August 2014, initially for a period of five years during which time the Fellow will be supported to gain their own external funding.
Applications deadline – noon 22nd May. Interviews will take place in June 2014.
