Joint Statement Regarding the Situation of our Colleagues in Turkey

Dear Members,

since January 31 Turkish scientists who signed the "Peace Petition" in 2016 are on trial including at least one of our members. Therefore, we as Executive Committee signed a joint statement of ISPP, SPSSI, BPS (Social Psychology Section), and ADRIPS which can be found here:

Additional information can be found in a BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09pjgs1 and a report by Steve Reicher who went to Turkey with some delegates of ISPP to observe the trial: https://thepsychologist.bps.org.uk/when-there-are-people-who-are-watching-it-makes-difference
EASP is planning to take further actions to support our colleagues in Turkey. If you are willing to support these activities in one way or another, please get in touch with us.

Kai Sassenberg in the name of the Executive Committee
