Tenure-track position in Organizational Psychology
The Department of Organizational Psychology at the University of Groningen invites applications for an open-rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor), tenure-track position in Organizational psychology. Candidates with a background in Social/Organizational Psychology, and a particular interest in individual differences, are especially encouraged to apply. Our department is embedded in the research program Interpersonal Behavior, which focuses on social-cognitive and individual difference factors underlying human behavior in organizations. We are an active part of the Graduate School for Behavioral and Social Sciences as well as the Kurt Lewin Institute, a national research school.
The position involves teaching 2-3 courses per year in I/O Psychology, supervising Master’s and PhD students, and helping to shape the teaching of I/O Psychology generally. The Organizational psychology group shares responsibility for the Bachelor’s degree program in Psychology, the one-year Master’s degree program in Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology, and the two-year Research Master program in Social & Organizational Psychology.
This position is made available through a University-level Rosalind Franklin Fellowship, and includes funding for a PhD student. Although the position is designed for applicants with postdoctoral experience and who conduct research on individual differences, the search committee will seriously consider any interesting applicant who offers a good fit for our department. Also, please note that the job ad itself is a bit awkward (see link, below), so if you have any questions feel free to contact the chair of the department (N.van.Yperen@rug.nl). Despite what may be implied in the ad, the job is open to both men and women.
The application deadline is December 1, 2012. For instructions on how to apply, follow this link: http://www.rug.nl/gmw/onderzoek/rff
