The Italian Association of Psychology – Division of Developmental and Educational Psychology – in collaboration with the University of Florence is pleased to announce the second edition of the INTERNATIONAL WINTER TRAINING SCHOOL on “Promoting children’s development: Evidence based interventions in family and school contexts (Florence, November, 20-22, 2014).
Child development scholars are increasingly interested in applied aspects of their research such as children’s health and well-being enhancement and possible risks or maladaptive outcomes prevention – particularly advocating families, schools and communities. Understanding developmental processes provides several indications on the way to optimize positive development as well as on how to prevent or minimize problematic outcomes. Evidence based interventions (EBI) has therefore become an area of increasing interest for both research and policy, with special attention to implementing cooperation among researchers, policy makers and practitioners.
After the first edition in Palermo in 2013, the call for the 2nd edition is now open.
25 participants (Ph.D. students and early career researchers) together with 10 auditors will be accepted.
Deadline for application is July 28th 2014
