Dear Colleagues and Friends,
We are happy to announce that the Doctorate in Psychological, Anthropological and
Educational Sciences of the University of Torino (http://dott-su.campusnet.unito.it/do/home.pl) in
cooperation with the European Association for Research on Adolescence (EARA) and the Italian
Association of Psychology (AIP) is organizing a innovative workshop named “To get in touch
with international research: scholars, methods and peers”.
This workshop (addressed to an identical number of Italian and foreign PhD students) has
two main aims:
1) To significantly promote international collaboration among Italian and European PhD
students by providing them with a specific context;
2) To promote the theoretical and the methodological knowledge and competence of PhD
students by:
a. Providing them a setting for introducing and discussing their own research projects with
expert scholars and peers, and for receiving advice and suggestions about one’s own
research questions, hypotheses and research design.
b. Giving them the opportunity to learn and to practice with specific statistical techniques
to analyze their data (quantitative, longitudinal, texts and interviews) in the most
efficient possible way.
