The University of Zurich invites applications for an Assistant Professorship with Tenure Track in Quantitative Methods of Intervention and Evaluation Research

The position should be filled as soon as possible. After two temporary three-year contracts the position will become tenured on the condition that the candidate passes the evaluation process.

The professorship is located at the Department of Psychology of the University of Zurich. Candidates should have excellent credentials in the development, validation and application of quantitative methods for longitudinal research (such as mixed/multilevel models, multilevel structural equation models, methods for intensive longitudinal data, (latent) growth curve models, generalized estimating equations, missing data handling) by means of publications in international scientific journals. They have high didactic skills as well as teaching and consulting experience in a broad spectrum of advanced statistical methods. Practical experience with methodological support for applied research projects with longitudinal aspects is a benefit.

The Department of Psychology of the University of Zurich with its broad research and teaching spectrum and Zurich as a center for higher education hosting a variety of methodologically oriented workgroups offers a research and teaching environment with plenty of opportunities for scientific exchange and cooperation.

Candidates should hold a PhD degree in statistics, psychometrics, psychology or related disciplines at the time of application and have an excellent record of academic achievements in the relevant field. Teaching may be carried out in English. Non-German speaking candidates are expected to acquire a working knowledge of German within the first three years of appointment. In order to increase the number of women in leading academic positions, we specifically encourage women to apply.

The closing date for applications is September 10, 2017. Details on the application procedure are available on www.phil.uzh.ch/jobs.html. For further information please contact Prof. Dr. Carolin Strobl (carolin.strobl@psychologie.uzh.ch).
